Over its 20-odd year history Fylde Concert Orchestra (FCO) has helped many churches and charities raise funds or simply enhance their events, such as a St George's Day celebratory event in a church community in Bilsborrow in 2014 (see photos).

FCO has also been involved in Cash for Kids fund-raising and Christmas markets hosted by Lloyds Automobiles Blackpool, as well as a Rotary Club event.

We like to think of ourselves as a ‘pops’ type orchestra, as we play all types of music, ranging from light classical, jazz, big band, dance band, west end and Broadway, easy listening and music from movies. The orchestra was very fortunate to have Brian Hughes as our music arranger, as this is quite unique to have a resident music arranger. A huge collection of music arranged by Brian for the FCO in the range of genres listed above remains a treasured legacy in the FCO.
